Another rough n ready live take, but comments on the song will be much appreciated. Thumping drums perhaps? Wailing saxophone?

An old song of mine about a hurricane and a girl. Its missing automation, de-essing and some of the usual bells and whistles. What bells and whistles, or other instruments, can you hear?

This song was inspired by a line in the Tom Robbin’s novel “Even Cowgirls Get the Blues”. This is my first attempt at an arrangement for the song and I expect it to evolve somewhat from here. Your comments will help with that evolution!

I confess to running out of time to do a “proper” recording this week, but the show must go on! So I have uploaded a rough n ready recording from this afternoon’s house concert. Marie is on the melody horn and gets a bit of audience participation on the backing vocals. I plan to have snare drum and mandolin on the studio version.
